- John releases CD 'Techno For Two' ,

JT reveals his new tattoo, a Double D

- Duran Duran officially announce reformation.

Duran spend 3 weeks recording/jamming at a chateau outside St Tropez.

june 11 - remastered Rio released in UK.

july 8 - Nick attends Madonna concert.

july 10 - Band get back together to work on overdubs.

duran rest from busy studio schedule.

GAP billboards appear featuring Simon and Nick.

Come Undone is used for the soundtrack of the ad for eau de toilette Massimo Dutti Woman
on Spanish television, Spanish model Madeleine Hjört appears.


October


Simon and Nick gap ads appear in ID and Heat magazines UK.


DD continue to work in studio, first photo's of all five are taken whilst in studio.

November


Duran announce that they are working under guidance of Miles Copeland.

November 9 - SYN Tokyo hold party with over 300 guests. Simon joined the party and he
performed a few songs, Come Undone, Save A Prayer and Ordinary World with Nick Wood on keyboards.
Simon said that the guys have been working on 19 tracks. The first song they wrote after reuniting is
called 'Everything And Nothing Changes'.


December


Roger plays hero when he chases and catches a group of shoplifters at his local shop,
he makes them hand back over the stolen goods.

Duran continue to work on new material assisted by mark Tinley before breaking
for christmas.

2002
January

2nd week of January, Duran are back in studio to continue recording.

first taste of new duran material previews on dd.com a snippet of a track called "nice".

DD have also completed a "groove" for a track called "taste the Summer".

The band also continue with meetings.

20 January - John accompanies Simon to see Manchester United beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1



Nick and Stephen Duffy finish final mixes of the Devils album at AIR studios, London

February


New recording of Save a prayer by Simon released for starbucks.

JT joins Patty from Trust The Process, snowboarding in the southern Californian mountains


March


Nile Rogers joins DD in studio to review material so far.

March 18
- John rejoins DD in the studio in London along with Nile Rodgers to begin the next
phase of recording.

April

Nick and Stephen Duffy make videos for two tracks for devils.

JT announces he is now the proud owner of a Gibson 1976 Thunderbird Bass guitar

April 25 - John played bass at his friend's on off gig at Hollywood's Club Lingerie. His friend,
singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeehun Hwang enlisted John on bass, Larry Aberman on drums
and friend Keram Malicki-Sanchez on guitar.


April 25 - Nick and Meredith attend a charity performance of Dr. Faustas

May


Simon le Bon gave these new songs a name: "Beautiful Colors", "Bedroom Toys", "Nice" -
the intro playing on the dd.com site and "Salt in the Rainbow".

May 6 - John flew to the UK to reconvene in the studio with the band and Nile for two more weeks
of writing/recording. they are also in talks and meetings with record labels and managers.

The Dandy Warhols are currently in the same studio complex as Duran Duran and Simon
did a guest vocal on a new Dandy Warhol track called PLAN A.

Nick also collaborates with Dandy Warhols.

May 31 - A new Duran snippet appears on the Duran Duran official site, a clip of "bedroom toys".


June

June 29 - John attended a Disco Party at the Hollywood Bowl, the show featured Chic and
the Village people.


July

July 15 - The Devils CD Dark Circles is released.



Mid/late July Simon and John took some meetings in New York on behalf of the band.
while in US Simon finished up some vocals at Nile Rodgers home in Connecticut.

John took some more meetings in LA and NYC.

JT takes a holiday with his Father in Italy.

The band have around 15 near completed tracks. securing a label deal is on the horizon.

 

2003
January

January 4 -John joined James Angel at the Music Millenium in Portland then later at the Crystal Ballroom for a show.

January 7 -new photo's of DD in the studio are posted at the official website showing rehearsals over last month.

Duran continue recording in London Studio.

April

April 9 -Nick does interviews with the Guardian and NME.

April 10 -Nick and Roger attend party for launch of new sky music channels, the launch party for Vogue.

May

May 12 - EMI release a box set of singles from 81-85

September 25th - Simon and Yasmin LeBon attended the MOBO Awards at
the Royal Albert Hall in London, where Simon was also a Presenter.

He and Lisa Maffia presented Best Video. Christina Aguilera was the big winner
but wasn't there to pick up her Award, so Redman accepted on her behalf.
